PE AMEX vouchers
Posted: 16 Dec 2014, 10:48Back from our trip to Tokyo (TRs to follow soon!) and I'm happy to report that I've managed to make good use of the PE upgrade vouchers from my VS AMEX. We have a business trip in July to California and we got redemptions on the dates we needed (we have to stay an extra day, not exactly a hardship!)
To pay for tickets on those dates would have been just shy of £3,000, but with the vouchers it will be £875 in taxes for both of us, plus 85,000 miles and a £69 miles booster for my OH's account from a previous trip to NYC. I'll admit to being a little sad about missing out on a good TP and mileage earning opportunity, but the saving seemed to good to pass up, and with no G availability on any of our dates it seemed a good time to try the vouchers. I have the flights on hold until the miles booster clears; hope it's quick. As an added bonus, we got the last two PE upgrade seats on both days!
