Quite unexpectedly, I received this iPad wallet from VS in the post today.

It's actually really good quality, from Shinola: http://www.shinola.com/shop/leather/env ... FOR%20iPAD

... and useful too!

Thanks, VS! ^)

Very nice. Good to see VS recognising and rewarding its high value customers. My iPad case came curtesy of Amazon and cost £14.99. Enjoy your gift y) :D

As the letter opens with Happy Holidays I assume these festive gifts that pop up every now and again are aimed solely at their USA based AU members.

If not, then I've been missed out again :# Was it something I said? :P

I know, right!? It's always very pleasant to get any gift, but I was genuinely surprised by the quality!

I think it is a US-based thing, yes. I notice it was mailed from Connecticut. Keep in mind the gift is also promotional in a sense: Shinola is a Detroit-based company, and the letter reminds me that VS begin their DTW route in 2015 (which I fully plan on using, as I have a bunch of work coming up in Ann Arbor)

My dad had an army phrase about not knowing something from Shinola...now, what was it :w

Nice present though...

I haven't heard (i.e. thought about) that phrase in ages. It just rolls off the tongue, that one!

And they STILL make the, ahem, brown shoe polish, to which I think that phrase relates: http://www.shinola.com/shop/black-shoe-polish.html

Well done you and good to see VS are also doing this in the US......interestingly your letter and gift are from SRB as I would guess Craig isn't too well know in the US despite being American!

That said....I received a gift about a week ago which was well received. It was of the drinking variety and not something found onboard which was a lovely surprise and much appreciated. It arrived by courier and was packaged really well and had a lovely note inside.

One of several gifts this year so I must have been very lucky oo) Loyalty secured for another year- well done VS :D

Happy Christmas everyone wherever you are in the World!

Jon

Oh, very nice! Good for you and good for VS! I know it's a relatively small thing for the airline, but it really does make me want to stick with VS, even when things go awry.

Happy Christmas/Holidays/Festivities, depending on where everyone is in the world! :D
