It wouldn't persuade me to use Virgin.
Not that I need persuading because I'm here anyway but if I wasn't...

Bet that idea was thought up by the IT dept! About par for their course.

I don't know what I think about it.
I don't use VS for business trips just leisure so it's lost on me!
Not much focus on the services they offer and if you don't fly Virgin you wouldn't be any wiser after watching that ad!

A clear change from the sexual innuendo or magic realism in recent years, and I'd say a statement of intent to go after the business traveller.
I liked it.

This seems to borrow from the "Arrive Awesome" idea that Virgin Trains uses.... don't show much of the experience but what you get out of it.

Not sure what to make of it, but I'm leaning more towards not liking it. I think I'm getting old though, it's a bit to fast paced and It seems more of an ad for a Dragons Den type of show.

Reminded me ever so slightly of the Success Express:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcFnYIIku8wAgreed though, not a mind blowing VS ad when compared to some of their greats over the years.

This is the first ad from Adam & Eve DDB who took over the VS ad account from RKCR/Y&R. This accounts for the shift in focus from VS on their advertising.

Worked fine for me.
Quite slick without being sick!
Perhaps a bit more subliminal VS product placement might have helped get the message across though?

In the parlance, it's to do with facilitating the outcomes. If I were trying to persuade my management to fund business travel it wouldn't be about the experience itself, but rather that it increased the potential for a successful result of a trip.
No worse than any of the numerous car adverts that say nothing about the car, or Christmas adverts that say nothing about the company.

It's an advert, nothing more, nothing less. Some will like it, some will loathe it.
Emphasis in on business travellers in Upper, the revenue generators, as oppose to the family spending 2 weeks in Orlando who will do pretty much anything to save a pound here and there.

Meanwhile us ex'rockstars' are facilitating outcomes somewhere else.

I agree entirely. The only bit I related to was the Clubhouse shots. As ads go it was good, funny (ish) (as I expect from VS) but not aimed at me.
Still love the 25th anniversary one with the retro-80's vibe

Sadly, one of the most boring ads they've ever had produced and when compared to the last one which was EPIC - this fails 1/10 from me.

This reminds me of some late 1990's British Mockney 'Gangster' Film.
I almost expect Danny Dyer to leap out at any second and call someone a 'slaaaaagggg'.
Its of course not aimed at myself who does not have the pleasure of long haul business trips (irony being that I could get over half way to New York most days with the amount of time is spend on the M25). But I guess it shows the direction that Virgin are looking at with regards to new business.

Oh you young people, you think you invented everything. We of the age to watch the original "Sweeney" were using such terms back in the 1970's

Now a travel advert I
do like is the Thomson Holidays ad with the teddy bear. I am a sucker for teddies. So what if I am a 49 year old man?!
Though much as I love the ad, I shall not be rushing out to book a holiday. Next year is fully subscribed now.

Not a fan of the new VS ad. Reminds me too much of Steve Coogan's "I'm A Tiger" character.
