In waiting for my black amex vouchers to come through in February so I will have to sit out this round but I might do a miles booster

Thanks for this. Was about to boost my miles this month anyway so very glad I didn't do it last week now! :-)

Yes, I thought about doing a miles booster just yesterday, and said to OH, I bet there would be a bonus offer from next week (based on last year's pattern) and it turned out to be even earlier!

Sometimes you can combine with the amex upgrade vouchers and sometimes you cant , does anyone know if the reward sale can be combined with this offer? maybe a premium trip to Dubai if i can... Paul

This is what it says at the bottom of my email:

8. Credit card upgrades can be applied to this offer.

So I think you can. And id an agent tells you no, try hanging up and calling again. ):

:( The dissapointment when I realised the miles sale is only for economy seats.

The disappointment when you've just booked a full priced reward seat... :-(

Does anyone know whether using the VS black CC to buy miles/pay for miles booster will 1) incur the 1.5% charge and 2) entitle me to 4 miles per £1 spent?

I'm hoping for a no and a yes, in that order! :p

Funny, NYC isn't on the list of destinations in the sale, but is coming up when I do a dummy run booking. YVR is on the list and shouldn't be. Good old VS IT ):

OK, this would mean that using the black CC with the Miles booster offer gives a price of 0.775 pence per mile. Not bad at all. Could be a cheap way to get to Necker... :p

Like a few others, I'm also waiting for my Black Amex vouchers to post onto my account, then maybe a trip to NY will be on the cards.

Got to flown an awful lot though to be able to use the miles booster on 1.2m miles...

So, I think this is a steal-of-a-deal, but if someone can please verify:

SFO - LHR - SFO = 21,432 (doubled) miles for $342.91 + 3 miles per $ on VS Black CC = 22,460 miles.

Thoughts?

On VS's UK website it shows 31,875 to be the number of miles required for an economy redemption. I'm not familiar with what happens when the flights originate from the US but do they not charge taxes on reward seats?

Also your number is based on using the Miles Booster (at 0.016 cent per mile). If the bonus offer applies across the pond, too, then you should also get 25% uplift as a bonus, not when you do the booster, but with a slight delay.

I could be completely wrong but isn't there a 7 day cooling off period?

So, would it be worthwhile buying 100,000 miles now and getting 125,000?

Regarding the cooling off period, this came up last time there was a boost offer, i remember the person couldn't reboost the flight as it had been deemed to of already been done?

I guess someone from VS has taken note. The list of destinations has been updated with NYC added and YVR removed.

Just to confirm, I can boost miles now for flights in April right? Flights don't have to be within the 7 Jan - 4 Feb window?
