Been looking over flights to Boston for the summer time over the last few days. Was cautious on booking as the plane scheduled was an a340-300, and i have heard bad reviews about those planes (old entertainment system etc). Now however the plane is a 787-9 and i was just wondering if this was a known thing?
Will this be a dead cert as a 787-9 or will it go back to the a340-300

The A343s are due to leave the fleet earlier this year so you should be OK with the 787.

Is the 343 still on this route? I thought it was the 787-9 with the 330 on a Friday? My advice would be don't get too hung up on the hardware, the service makes the flight...

BOS is currently operated by the 787 six days a week.
The A343s are indeed due to leave the fleet imminently. However for some reason they seem to be the default aircraft that comes up on seat maps when VS haven't yet confirmed which aircraft they'll be using on a particular flight.

A343 are the default aircraft, now the 787 dominates that route but you can find on certain dates the 747 on that route in the summer time
