Nashville using Miles

I am looking to book a trip to Nashville in the summer (dates flexible) and was hoping to use my miles as I have over 150000 to use.

It does not look as though you can use your miles to book a flight to Nashville? Is there another option via another state that would be worthwhile on Virgin?

Can you use them on Code Share flights?

Many thanks

Robyn

I would have thought your best bet is use VS to atlanta with your miles and give VS or delta a call to see if they can use your miles on a delta flight to nashville. It looks about an hours flight from atlanta to nashville so I am sure you could find something.

Agree with the above. There are at least nine daily non-stop flights between ATL and BNA (where I live).

Alternative is to fly to Orlando then hop on a cheapo Southwest flight - also direct.

Hi Robyn

I've just used FC miles to get Delta tickets (coincidentally just posted about it here: http://v-flyer.com/forum/index.php?f=4&t=288529&rb_v=viewtopic). Was very easy and if you have plenty of VS miles can be a pretty economical way of doing it - you only pay $5.60 per person in fees/taxes, plus 12,500 miles for a short trip like ATL-BNA.

Not sure what the cheap airlines charge for that route so may not stack up in terms of miles as well as our transcontinental ones, but if you have some you want to get rid of and want it to be as cash-cheap as possible it could be a good way.

Well, I got BNA-LAS last year on a red-eye when going outbound - total cost on a Y ticket was ~ $100 USD. Personally I'd think it better value of the miles at those rates to pay, and keep miles for VS upgrades.

Is it just me that thinks VS/DL missing a trick in guaranteeing free rebooking on missed connections even on seperate tickets ala oneworld?
