Prices after sale

Does anyone have a sense how much fares might rise after the sale ends on 27th Jan?
Will be going LHR - Dubai return in May. Not yet sure of dates. Should I try to get it done in time, or could I wait sensibly?
Thanks for the help - again

Absolutely, as a sale it was a damp squib, I've been half expecting a new sale with proper sale prices, but if not, they should only rise a little if anything at all.
Actually, this sale was a non event.

I got UC to LAS, PE to LGW using a combo of miles and money for £1000 which I was pleased with. I cannot take the chance of not booking now and waiting for G to open up nearer the time as our dates are pretty fixed. So, this far out and not waiting for anything special in terms of a sale, I was quite happy.

+1 to the comments made so far, especially with regards to 'sale' prices for Dubai in May. £800 plus for an economy seat??? I don't think so, when I've had PE for less in previous years. Qatar can have my business this year at a much more reasonable £325 each, even if it means a quick stop at Doha.

Thanks to all. They are steep prices even now.
I was even thinking going Gulf, just to pick up some TP and miles, but not sure its worth it? Don't need the miles really. It'll be cost in the end

I wouldn't be surprised if they do the fairly predictable thing of extending the sale for another week, hopefully they'll also drop in some genuinely attractive deals in too

i've just re-done some quote post sale that I had done during the sale and the cost over most of them has come down and enabled it to be more affordable.
I think they probably kept a few of the cheaper buckets back which has meant that now this is the cheaper options.

Last christmas PE sale was 900 PE to Vegas, for a sale reference point. Often about 1150 non sale time.

Yep, exactly what happened. Dubai dates I wanted were £200 cheaper after the sales ended. You have to wonder if there is something legally dodgy about doing this, creating the illusion of a good deal through a sale... But more than that it's just plain dumb.
Anyway, Qatar have my money now and they are still significantly cheaper...

Bore that I am, I can look up all my flight stats since 1999 for comparisons. I booked LHR-LAX-LHR for a holiday trip in April during the sale and the per ticket price was £2,608 and now the sale has ended it is £3,466

which is, I think, very steep for a Z both ways. Oh and as an aside VS seems to have removed all Z's from most VS7/8 flights once the 789 starts!
Just to emphasise how poor this sale was, back in 2009 we flew in Upper to LAX for £1,696. In 2011 even a non-sale Z was £2,121.
Prices have certainly gone up!

Booked Man-PVG in PE during sale. If booked today, it would be just £38 more

I know these dates weren't in the recent sale but on the general theme of high prices, I have been keeping an eye on flights to Kansas City, Missouri (for a wedding) going with VS via Atlanta or the new Detroit service and for 4 in PE its coming to £6103.04
I've been checking daily

and its hovered around this price for quite some time. Any insight as to the likelihood of VS offering some low-fares for Summer? (Long-shot I know)

I still think you are best off ringing them up. Online has never matched up with the prices when I ring them. YMMV.

Might have to give that a go. I know any flights to the US in July let alone 4th of July weekend will be expensive but this seems surprisingly high.
How much difference are we talking?
