V-Flyer

Have just had my latest delivery from Hotel Chocolat tasting club. Am only halfway through the previous delivery from them! (But boy is it good!)

Am off to Florida on Friday - if I was to take it on board and offer the crew a choccy, are they allowed to accept it? (It's dark chocolate, non-alcoholic). Am happy to take the box onboard "sealed" and only open it when the crew can see.

However I must congratulate you on your self control, any chocolate in my house doesn't stand a chance of remaining uneaten for more than a week!

Ahh the perils of the chocolate tasting club. I've had to cut my deliveries back because they weren't getting eaten quickly enough, but boy are they good

They will go to a good home (i.e. inside me) and they will all get eaten before the best before date so that's a health & safety issue sorted too.

The salted caramel one they will not be able to resist.

The Ghirardelli ones are nice too. But either is fine by me. I am even addicted to salted caramel lattes now.

Anyone tried the Stoli's Salted Caramel Vodka? Lush! Keep it in the freezer and drink ice cold just as it is....

A fairly large box of Hotel Chocolat deliciousness was presented to the FSM on VS900 13 January 2015 with the usual caveat that he didn't tell the CC which passengers had provided them.

By way of a change, we dropped some packs of Tunnock's Milk Chocolate Caramel Wafers into the hands of K, the FSM, on VS901 on 29 January 2015. She appeared delighted.

We discovered Tesco's own brand Finest Salted Caramel Cream Liqueur (17% £12) just before Christmas.

Delicious, is an understatement, when served over ice, and purchases can earn VS air miles!

I guess it will depend on the cabin that you are in; UC large box, PE medium box and Y, four chocolates in a box.

No, seriously, any decent sized box appears to go down well, as do biscuits and in 4S Tokyo, HP Sauce.

If I was Cabin Crew I would go with the old "don't take sweets from strangers". Imagine if they were laced with poison, maybe I am slightly paranoid!

Ha.. sound advice perhaps, but none of my chocolate or sweet offerings have been turned down in the past. The crew love a bit of a sugar hit to get them through the flights.

im definitely going to get some in duty free in a few weeks.

This has got me thinking! I'm in the bubble for my flights in May, and as there are less staff, I think it makes it a bit more of a personal touch as I'm upstairs rather than amongst a couple of hundred people downstairs. When is the best time to hand over the choccies. I would guess the start of the flight? Also Lindt seems to be the chocolate of choice unless anyone has any bother advice. I'm new to vflyer and the advice and tips have been great so thank you to everyone who posts.
