V-Flyer

(Topic not actually about VA but as were flying VA first flight hope topic is allowed!!)

We land at ORD in May off VS039.
We have a domestic flight with AA in T3 which is a separate booking.

Do I drop my bags off in T5 before getting the tram to T3 or take them too T3 and then drop them off.

Any help appreciated

I don't think VS can check bags through onto AA, so you would have to collect your bags and take them to T3 and check them in with AA. Bare in mind AA charge for baggage on some tickets.

You'll have to pickup, go through customs with your luggage and then go to your onward airlines desk after customs to recheck your luggage when you first land in the US anyway.

Interlining or not, this is unfortunately the process for arriving in the US.
