Greetings from the LHR CH! And...

What is it that's being built directly outside the CH?
It looks like a giant (and permanent) shed. I can't imagine VS is too happy, as it's directly in front of three of the five windows down the long side of the CH.
Also, how long has the illuminated Delta sign (along with VS's) over the doorway as you enter the VS/DL LHR T3 wing been there?
Cheers!

Hi nylon hope you're enjoying the ch.
I think it's a new transfer building (I was told when I was having my haircut). It block the view of the planes!!

Thanks, all. Yes, I was just told it's some kind of transfer building. It's huge. Once it's 'filled-in' (don't know the technical term), then surely the CH will lose a lot of light.
By the way, if you're into sweet things, might I recommend the 2009 sauternes in the CH. Absolutely delightful. Not cloying at all.
The other dessert wine (2010, Loupiac) is a little too sweet for me.

Yes it's really annoying, I love relaxing there and plane spotting, but it'll ruin the view - I haven't been up to the roof recently, I wonder if the view is blocked from there too.

Maybe it's all a cunning ploy to make Virgin move terminals at LHR!

Thanks!
Very long VS9 flight time today (eight and a half hours). It was snowing at JFK when we landed, and everything was very icy, which might have had something to do with it!

A Delta MD-88 skidded off the runway on landing yesterday at LaGuardia through a fence and into an embankment --- hairy moments all round, luckily no serious injuries

I'm glad they kept that information from us while we were in the air!
