Lack of ORD flight options

Hi all,

I've noticed a strange lack of connection options to Chicago when looking at some weekend-only bookings.

For example - when searching for a return trip for this weekend (i.e. outbound 7/3/15 , return 8/3/15) I'm given about 7 or 8 different choices with a mix of VS and DL metal.

When performing the same search for the following weekend (14/3-15/3) I am given only one option on the outbound (via MSP on delta)... what happened to all the other route options??

The same occurs when I search for the weekend after that (21/3-22/3), one option for outbound, 7 or 8 for return. I can't imagine there being such a massive amount of service cancellations for the Saturday that it nearly wipes out all but one option!

Is it something pertaining to the short notice? Or for the fact that it's only for one night? If so, this doesn't explain the full program of choices for 7/3-8/3!

I am a little perplexed... ?| Any ideas?

Yes - that's not what I'm talking about though:

Normally outside of season there are connection options through ATL, JFK and DTW and MSP on Delta-only flights. What I'm getting at is that not even these options are available on the dates I mentioned above.

In based out in toronto and was getting similar results with virgin. Don't think they have gotten the nack of connection flights yet. Try delta's site and book vs metal that way. They seem to have more options.

Indeed, they have a few more options but most tend to involve flying either KLM or have huge overnight layovers!
