6 Week Refund

Hello All

So, I have been chasing a refund for the last 6 weeks and seem no closer to getting it at all...

To give you a bit of history - I purchased 'seat plus' post a call from VS regarding upgrades (from LGW to MCO was way out of my price league - over £1,000 each person EC to PE!). So I took the £65 seat plus.

Now, between now and then I was told I could upgrade for £150 -of £75 each - so I bit their hand off - what a great price. On top of that I would get the £65 for seatplus back (so a net price of £42.50 each - can anyone beat that!?!).

After 6 weeks, which is apparently standard - can this be true - I have nadda. A few calls to FC and they cant tell me either.

Its £65 which I not enough to be angry about, but enough to bother me! What would your advice be fello V-Flyers..? Should I really moan in the hope for something back, or just wait until they sort it out - however long that may be.

Dan

Try Twitter or Facebook. VS seems to act very quickly via those channels...

If you paid by credit card contact them and they should start the disputed charge process.

Ours took weeks and weeks last year - FC had taken an upgrade payment twice, admitted it within hours, promised refund, but weeks of phone calls later, nothing had happened. We contacted Amex and within days, the refund appeared.

Don't talk to me about VS and their refund process! v(

Many moons ago, for reasons I cannot remember I purchased a full J ticket to JFK and later cancelled it, purchasing two Z fares instead. It took over 6 weeks during which time the value of the euro against the pound fell and I lost €300 in the transaction. xx(

By comparison, last year I booked First in BA because the fares were surprisingly cheaper than CW. However, two days later BA announced a sale in First and it was cheaper again, even with a change fee. I re-booked and then cancelled my original booking. Within minutes the refund was back on my credit card y)

Well, it seems like my woes are a lot less than others have experienced..!

Did VS offer anything in the way of compensation - for there mistakes or the inconvenience...? Surely they cant keep a refund for over 6 weeks?!
