VS 603 0 LHR
20/03/15 9:10 PM CPT
21/03/15 11:15 AM 346
Daily
90% / 16m J6 C6 D6 I5 Z3 W9 S9 H9 K9 Y0 B0 R0 L0 U0 M0 E0 Q0 X0 N0 O0
So no economy seats left (unless they oversell)

If it is showing zeros already it means they have sold all the tickets they are going to sell - including their over sell tolerance.

thanks - then how come there is still availability on the website to purchase economy seats? They will oversell the seats to try and get people to exchange their flying dates? I am a bit clueless

I just spoke to Virgin and they said that there are more than 4 seats available in each class?

in the past i've seen expertflyer load checks show 0s while VS showed availability, then on a later load check seats show available again
could simply be a transient systems issue between VS and the provider of the load check data, or maybe a TA had a block on hold and released them?

Expert Flyer says J7 C7 D7 I6 Z6 W9 S9 H9 K9 Y8 B8 R8 L8 U8 M8 E8 Q0 X0 N0 O0
So absolutely at least four seats in each class. It could easily be a group in Y changing their dates to explain the different from David's post.
I've talked with people at VS before and external systems do not always match VS's because only VS will overbook.

Either way Y will be full on the day, as they're bound to sell more seats in the next week and any that are left will more than likely be taken by VS staff on standby tickets.

I am down in CPT for the first time; came down on Monday on the later BA747 as the flight times were more convenient.
The flight was a lot less than half full in econonmy, but I am told that weekend (Fri-Sun) flights are often full on BA & VS....

Fortunately I (and my luggage) all arrived in the right place at the right time! Definitely Jo'burg.
It's my first time in RSA, and I am easily confused at the best of times!
