Now that DL has its own arrivals lounge in LHR T3, if I fly DL BusinessElite, am I compelled to use DL's arrival lounge, or can I still use VS Revivals (I am VS Au).

Has anyone used the DL T3 arrivals lounge? Any thoughts?

More to the point: VS2 UC (787), VS10 UC (747) or DL403 BE (767)!? EWR/JFK makes no difference to me. Prices are all the same. I really do need to sleep on this particular flight...

I was in the revivals lounge on Monday and it was the busiest I have ever seen it. 20 minutes plus wait for the showers and we waited at least a further 45 minutes for hot food. Chatting to the front desk, they had new staff on resulting in a less than fluid service and that there were more pax than expected using the lounge.

I asked if I could use the DL lounge which I could as AU but could not take my partner so we stayed where we were once we managed to get a table! I didn't ask your specific question about AU access into revivals if on DL metal.

I would pick the VS2 or VS10. I have gone for the VS2 for my next trip so I can try out the dreamliner. Failing that, I would go for the bubble on the VS10. I always sleep best up there - especially if it snooze zone. It's personal preference but at 6'2 and size 12 feet, I have trouble getting comfortable on the DL 767 when I am trying to sleep for any length of time - fine for snoozing! The extra length of UC bed in the bubble is a welcome addition.

Where is the DL arrivals lounge, by the way? It's not the one that's outside is it?

I've certainly used Revivals after a DL metal flight, but I've not flown DL metal into LHR since they built their own arrivals lounge.

Don't know, never been to a morgue..though I have been to Galleries T3...

I have not been but the signage takes you outside, through the doors to the left of the lift up to revivals.

The Revivals staff I spoke to said it was very nice. Very shiny and new. Might be worth a visit before it loses its shine! Might be even quieter if DL are moving flights back to T3.

I suppose I could use both!?

I have used both the JFK T4 CH and DL SkyClub before taking a flight on occasion before! No comparison at all there!

To answer your first question -- to use Revivals as an AU you need to be on a VS-operated flight.

Is that a new policy? I've used Revivals quite a few times after a DL metal flight (since the DL/VS codeshares into T3 started up). I've just not tried it since DL built their own arrivals lounge.

Re using arrivals as AU - it's been policy for a long while that you have to be on a VS flight (maybe codeshares count?)

I've used Revivals after two, maybe three DL metal (VS/DL codeshare) flights in 2014. The last was in November.

I think DL built their lounge in December or January, so I was wondering whether since then VS Au have to use the T3 DL arrivals lounge if on DL metal (even if on a VS/DL codeshare).

Eh?? I personally think that GF in T3 is one of the better BA offerings. Intending to go there next month despite being on a CX flight (not that I dislike that lounge, it's just a bit small...).

If you want a morgue, might I suggest GF at JFK. Or possibly the CX offering in MNL, unless that's been improved recently!

I'm afraid I couldn't resist the cheap shot. I actually didn't think T3 Galleries too bad, although if I look back on my TR from the trip I do refer to it as having the ambience of a "waiting room in a funeral parlour". Food slop, wine good .

Ah well, I've only really eaten there at breakfast time, so I've missed the bowls of slop that have had so much criticism. The full english buffet is pretty good, coupled with the fact that there's a proper dining room from the days of when there really were flights with 1st class out of T3 (rather than it being a 'golds' lounge). Which probably helps explain the ambience aspect as well!

It's not a new policy - it's been like that for ages, but it wouldn't surprise me if the arrangement with DL had overridden or modified it.

Not long till First class BA pax are back in T3!
I tried Galleries Slop in T5 earlier this month, and whilst it looked awful for BA to offer it, it tasted great! So while it might not look appetising (at all!) it does taste good (IMO).

The Delta Arrivals Lounge is the one outside and beyond the bus stop.

The AA Arrivals Lounge at T3 is dire... How I longed for the Concorde Breakfast Room of T5 last week.
