Greetings from Delta lounge at Atlanta

Well after our enforced overnight stay at the Hyatt in Orlando due to the cancellation of VS74 we are now in a sunny Atlanta watching the aircraft. Lounge is better than Orlando as it does offer views but the food offering is much the same although it does have 2 soups, vegetable & tomato as well as the Orlando pea & ham!!!

When we left Orlando Pretty Woman was still on gate 87 and it looked as though a cargo door was on the ground with some cylinders next to it that could have been for cutting equipment, not a good sign.

Notice Lady P is on todays vs73 and the return is delayed by a couple of hours so it looks like she is on 74 so Pretty Woman isn't going anywhere. Expensive time for Virgin especially at Easter.
Miss Sunshine is at the gate so hopefully we will be in Manchester in the morning after an interesting day. It maybe that future trips to Naples will be via Atlanta & Fort Myers in the future saving the long drive.

Hope you enjoyed the Atlanta flight. I shall be most interested in hearing your experiences, please, as I have long looked at ways to fly to RSW . I like the airport there and it certainly cuts out a drive down from the hustle bustle of MCO.

Have a good flight home. I hope the delay hasn't caused too much disruption with work etc. Looking forward to reading the TR.

For many years we have been flying out from MAN to RSW business for our Nov/Dec trip to Sanibel usually using DL64/65 via ATL. Two years ago we tried the Virgin UC MAN MCO route simply because we managed a great deal saving a substantial amount of money. We managed an even better deal last year but this year we are booked using VS109/110 via ATL because it worked out almost the same as just flying into MCO, a no brainer, the only downside is that there are no lounges at RSW. We can now spend even longer on the island and saving about 340 miles extra driving.

Trip home went fine and we may look to use this service from RSW in future years as it does save on the drive up. We may still go out via MCO in case of weather problems in Atlanta in Feb. The only slight downside is that it is a 330 and this is the first time we have been on one having experienced the 747 and 346s in the past. We would agree with other past comments that the seats seem narrower, the aisle certainly is, and the overall impression is that it is cramped.
Will try to do TR over weekend.
