hello all

wow I have not been on v flyer for quite a few years traveling stopped family kids etc... (must be around 2004)

However im back with a load of miles still to use up on a family holiday to Florida

as the miles flights go quick is it worth booking the outbound flight first as soon as released and then the inbound once that's released (give or take a couple of days)? does it cost more...

thank you for your help good to see how well this site has done (i couldn't even remember my original username :(! )

Welcome back y)

If you were booking just one or two seats to NYC or some of the other destinations, i would say probably yes.

However - booking multi seats to Florida, presumably in school holidays, is not that simple - especially if you want to fly into MCO.

Availability won't be easy - how many seats are we talking and when are you looking to go?

Nick

thank you

we are looking at 4 tickets although 3 would be miles and 1 would be miles plus money (only have enough for 3 economy flights)

worst case we could fly internal to another airport and spend a few days in another part of the usa

looking at going before easter 2016

On my recent flight to NYC I fell into conversation at the bar with a family headed to Florida. They had burned miles on the UC return to JFK, were doing a couple of days in NYC and then heading down to Florida on a paid internal (JetBlue?)
