FC membership form for under 18s

16 year old in the family is making his first solo flight this summer LHR/EWR to visit family over there.

Good idea maybe to make him a member of FC so he can collect his own miles.

Small print on website says that 12-17 year olds can't apply online, must download a form. No download link to the form - this is VS IT after all. :)

I can't seem to find the form on the website, can anyone point me to it please?

Can I recommend him as a FC member and get the introductory bonus for both of us or is there something in the even finer print that precludes this? :(!

According to the FAQs, just complete the normal Join Flying Club form online. On the second page, when it asks for personal details, it'll link to a form that you have to print off, countersign and send in. Whether it works or not - who knows!

I did it last summer when our son took his 15yr old mate on holiday. I faxed it across and it took weeks. I rang twice to enquire as to the status but eventually it came through.

On the form I did ask for the MMF bonus to be added - after all I was paying for the flights.

The MMF bonus didn't get added post-flight, but a few weeks after the holiday I tweeted, it was added in minutes. We each received 10k miles.

And, don't forget if you have 'control' over the account, you can use the miles on it too. ):

Thank you both. I was reading Flying Club FAQ which are not so informative.
