Hi all,

I haven’t flown VS from LAS before. As it is a contract lounge can anyone confirm if I have access to the Club lounge at T3 as Flying Club AU in Y? The VS website only seems to make reference to UC passengers.

As previously stated, yes you do. Make sure to get an invite at check in though.
Lounge is ok but don't expect a Club House!

Whilst in support of previous posts - do not expect too much. A shared lounge with many other airlines and when we were there a month ago, we could not find a seat at first

A few of the out stations do appear to require some sort of invitation given to you at check-in in addition to your BP / AU Card.

I have has this at both EWR and SFO even though I was flying in Upper.

At EWR they handed me the card which I then handed to the CH desk less than a minute later after going down the escalator next to the check-in desks (this was before the EWR CH was airside)

At SFO they even wrote the seat number of my guest on it which was checked at the entry - so no picking up any waifs and strays on the way!

The shared lounges are probably even hotter on checking entry validity as they would be submitting lists to VS for payment.

Have visited the old Club in T2 before so know what (or what not) to expect . Gotta beat hanging in Burger King though

The Delta Sky Club in MCO took the lounge invite card & insisted on seeing our boarding passes back in February.

Also, MCO check-in always seem to write the fare code on the invite, e.g. Z-class. Is this so the lounge staff know we are the "lowest of the low" in terms of UC passengers?

I recommend the bell pepper soup in Club LAS, yum yum

Best lounge at LAS by far ia the American Express lounge - Veuve Cliquot champagne, and an edible bufet ( meals, if you want, not just what are jokingly referred to as 'snacks'

Yes the Amex lounges in the U.S have fantastic reputations. I've used the one in DFW and, bar VS Clubhouses, it was the best lounge I've ever used. Looking forward to trying the one at LAS in early May

Glad I read this, will head for the Amex lounge then! Looking at the map it seems like all VS flights leave from the D gates?

But you can take the airside transit from E to D gates, so no issue getting to the Amex lounge if time allows.

Cool thanks, had only assumed D since you check in at T3 and the only direct gates from there are D.

The T3 gates are the E gates i.e. those in the same building as you check in. So flying VS you check in at T3 and stay in the same building (as per below usually gate E2 or thereabouts).

The D gates are in a satellite and were built as an extension to T1 several years ago. However to relieve congestion in T1 and make better use of T3 check in facilities, some airlines which use the D gates now check in at T3 so there is a direct link from T3 (E gates) to the D gates just as there is from T1 main building to the D gates.

Simples!

To explain all this, there's a downloadable map on the Las Vegas Airport website. This shows were everything is, and how you get to where you are to where you want to be

I Have to admit, it's probably the least intuitive airport I've ever been to...

That arrangement also means it is alarmingly easy, if flying domestically into a D gate, to end up in the wrong arrivals hall. I did it a couple of years back - I ended up in T1 but my bags were in T3. It was a late night flight and the landside bus between the two terminals was not frequent! Won't be making that mistake again ...

Would anyone know if I woulod get complimentary access to the Centurion being a Virgin Amex card holder ?

No, there's a $50 fee. It's only free for Amex Platinum or Centurion cardholders.
