UC nearly full?

Hi
My friend may now be joining me to NYC, so I went I to my seat booking to see if the seat next to me was free or move to the 2 at the front and it seems that all of the seats in the nose bit are taken except for 2, in the section behind 4 have already been taken. This trip isn't until December 29th JFK to LHR, does this sound right?
Didn't really want to go into the other section should my friend come but I will have to but just thought maybe Virgin have blocked them out for some reason?
Thanks
Kelly

From memory at the back, I am currently in 19k...I believe (last one on the left in the nose area) and there is a free seat opposite side.
I am just curious if seats would already be filling up for a flight so far away? Or could Virgin be slowly blocking the seats for a reason and then eventually I loose my seat in the nose.
Also, are cabin crew aware as to who is flying under what class ticket? I am a G fare and wonder if the crew would be aware of this?
Thanks
Kelly

Your class of ticket should make difference to your flight , 19k is a great seat in the A zone and I d def stay there rather than having two seats further back , far more spacious

All UC seats are available to select as soon as the flight goes on sale at T-336, VS don't hold any back on the 747 so those showing as unavailable genuinely have been taken.
I'd have thought December 29th will be very busy so it's not altogether surprising.
As Blacky says 19K is a great seat so keep it if you can. Assuming it's a night flight you'll probably want to sleep for much of it so does it really matter if you're not next to each other? You can always sit at the bar to chat or there's room at each seat to eat together should you so wish.
AFAIK the cabin crew have no idea what type of UC ticket you have so they won't know who's paid and who's on a reward. All they know is your Flying Club status.
