VS75 MAN-MCO currently squaring 7700 at FL190 circling over the Irish Sea, possibly dumping fuel.
Hope all is OK

G-VXLG hasn't circled for long and looks to be coming back into MAN in the next few minutes.

Looks like she's landed safely back at Manchester, no news on what the emergency was yet.

I'm in an Orlando Facebook group with somebody on the plane. She isn't aware of any smoke in cockpit (doesn't mean it didn't happen), they have not been taken off the flight are still onboard waiting for engineering. Sounds minor whatever it was.

Indeed, someone's tweeted VS to say they're sat on board and haven't yet been told what's happened. If there really was smoke they'd have been evacuated PDQ.

Currently sat in 9K on VS75. We got to a out the East coast of Ireland & the captain announced we were returning to MAN.
Circled for about half an hour over tge Irish Sea dumping fuel then did a normal - but heavy - landing into MAN. Escorted to remote stand by fire crews, as per normal for a heavy landing (hot brakes).
Engineering are trying to fix the fault & a replacement flight crew is on their way to the airport. They are hoping we'll go today.
Communication has been OK - don't think there is a lot more they could have said. Plane is getting.cold on the remote stand though..

There seems to have been a few issues recently! And wasn't G-VXLG poorly not too long ago too?
VS have said that the technical issue has now been resolved, but I am growing increasingly concerned, as I'm on VS75 this time next week!

Just had an update from the new captain - we should be ready to push back in about 5mins.
Fault was a cooling fan guving a fault warning light. & they chose to return ti the nearest Virgin base.
Flight time is 8h14m now - so 40mins faster that the original.
Fingers crossed - I want to get to Florida. Only saving grace is that I've had a comfy seat to sit out the delay.
