Ex DUB, NY

I've been reading the great advice for a while about the ex DUB flights and would like to book in UC. I've done dummy bookings but can't seem to get a good price. Ideally I'd like to fly from Man but know that London is realistic. I can't seem to get a decent price even from London - the trip is for April but prices are around £2600 even though I want to fly after the Easter period.

I can get MCO for £968 and Vegas for just under £1200 both from Man - any ideas? Thanks.

How are you booking?

Your trip needs to start in Dub so you'd book Dub>Mco not Man>Mco.

Thanks for the replies. I think I've finally got to grips with it!! I've managed to get a price for £960!!! DUB-LHR-NYC-LHR-DUB. I've also got the LHR-DUB leg for two days after we land in LHR so plenty of time for sightseeing in London!!

We're regulars on the MAN-MCO route and can't believe how much we could save by a quick jaunt to DUB.

Just another quick question - next summer we're doing the west coast and then down to Orlando. Would it be possible to do the following routing? DUB-LHR-SFO, book own internal flight to MCO, MCO-MAN-DUB

I've done a dummy booking for April and it gives me a price of just over £1300 in UC which is superb!

Would the internal flight affect the multiple booking?

No it shouldn't but you can always plug it in and see what it does to the price.

It may throw it way off in which case just keep the open jaw.

We have just flown LAX to MCO on Virgin America (first class) redeemed 40,000 Virgin miles

Personally I would book DUB-LHR-SFO-MCO-MAN-DUB and book the SFO-MCO leg separately but, as tonty said, price them all up and see how the prices compare.

Thank you for all your help.
I think I'll do the internal flights separately as we'll be doing SFO to LAX and then LAX down to MCO. We did this a few years ago and used American Airlines to MCO. I never thought of Virgin America.

Happy days :) :)

I would give Oneworld (BA/AA) a whirl as they may be able to price up an itinery including the direct LAX-MCO AA flight.
