As this is all on one ticket i.e. DUB-LGW-MCO the luggage is included. The rule is the baggage allowance of the airline operating the longest sector applies.

However depending on the airline you take to get to/from DUB to start your ex-Dub trip you may have to pay for luggage on those flights.

Do you have a booking reference for Aer Lingus? If so, does it tell you if baggage is included on their website?

I know you didn't book through Virgin, but this is what virgin say if you do book through them:
If you've booked a journey with Virgin Atlantic which includes Virgin Atlantic mixed class or a trip on another airline, each class or airlines baggage allowance will apply for each of the individual sectors.

Have you got anything in writing from Flight Centre saying its all included? If so i wouldn't worry too much, because even if you are charged, I'd hope they would refund you when you return.

Did your agent give you a PNR number? (Usually about 6 letters/numbers - sometimes called the Airline booking reference).

With that you can normally check your booking on the airline's website and confirm details.

Check In online is normally only 24 hours in advance (unless you're on EasyJet, and that seems to be a month in advance..!), so if you're selecting that option, that may be why it won't let you in.

However what's the error you're getting? Login issues? I think in the specific case of Aer Lingus they don't do the normal PNR / Lead passenger last name login, but require the email address - and that's probably the travel agent.

Depending on which GDS Aer Lingus is using, you might be able to find your booking on one of the customer-facing GDS sites like www.checkmytrip.com (Amadeus).

Same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago

Virgin PNR recognised - Virgin site shows all flights

Aer Lingus PNR not recognised, but nothing to worry about - luggage included on your Aer Lingus flight and bags were booked all the way through to MCO from Dublin, no problems.

(I checked in at the airport)

Have a look for my trip reports. They should only be a page or two back.

Have a great trip y)

Aer Lingus does not recognise the PNR of the main carrying airline such as VS and BA. I established that when I couldn't get checked in all the way through to Cork from JNB (although my bags could be checked through). On my ex-Cork flights I have not been able to do OLCI which is a bit of a nuisance when it comes to seat selection on those flights. However, as David says, your bags go through without any problems and you should get boarding passes all the way through to MCO.

You can't. They do not recognise the PNR of the other airline. You have to check in at the airport and OK, so you have to go to a check-in desk for bag drop, but I do like to do OLCI and choose my seat. n(

You can phone EI & pay for seat assignment, I think around €9 for row 1 & less for further back.

Yes it was round about then. Gets you into Gatwick at 10am. You already have your boarding pass and arrive at the south terminal, so straight upstairs to the priority security channel, as you exit security, look left and there is a sign for the clubhouse, through that corridor then turn right, take a few steps and your at the Clubhouse entrance.

You'll have plenty of time for food and champagne. :D

Enjoy your flight (s) and your trip to the sunshine state y)
