Seat map still not available!?

I am booked in upper class on VS5 (lhr-mia) Saturday 26th Sep and for a couple of weeks there has been no ability on-line or over the phone to select seats, whilst the return leg is available. any idea why this would be?

I'm not 100% sure if this still applies following all the changes to the seat request process in the last year or so but what used to be the case is that VS would only release 60% of the seats for prior request and then close off the seat map when they had been taken up.

They would then release the remainder when OLCI opened up (after allocating e.g. bassinet and special assistance seats).

This could be the situation here.

Hi

I was notified that our flights to Miami VS0117 26NOV was cancelled and that we have been rebooked on VS0005. Our seats on previous flight were booked some time ago but now continually find seat map not available for rebooked flight.

Will keep on trying.

Flight is booked using FC Miles.
Yes, can now book a seat allocation. I must have been trying to do it all too soon after my booking.
Unable to get through to find about the Lounge Access, Printscreen message attached

You might have some luck calling the contact centre, I've had the seat map be unavailable before, usually after being reticketed as my old seats were still in the system and they just needed to clear them off.

If this helps, expert flyer is showing 8 seats as being occupied (2A/K, 3A/K, 12A/K, 17K and 20A) on a 747.

i wonder if the fact that mine is a mileage upgrade has caused it? i was booked in premium and upgraded to upper when the seats became available. i really dont want to be waiting until online check-in opens

The upgrade is exactly why you can't view the seat map at the moment. A quick 2 min call will soon rectify the issue.

Was there a question about you having to pay for CH access that has been edited since I read it earlier?

There is nothing in that screen print that says you have to pay to use it or can't use it.

In the screen print It is simply a reminder about using the Upper Class Wing (AKA Drive Through Check IN) and not the CH.

I am booked on vs3 on 15 th August uc when I booked flights I could choose my seats then there was a time change on my delta connection and ever since then each time I go to check it says unavailable

Same has happened to my booking, all was well with my LHR-ATL-MCO flights on VS and DL until there was a slight change to the timings of the DL flights and now my booking only shows VS flights with no options to view any seating request.

i have called and customer services couldn't access the seat ma either.....
