Hi
Has anyone had any experience in claiming a refund for flights due to illness of a family member? Our youngest son was diagnosed with Leukaemia last week and I contacted Virgin to notify that we will not be flying next week and asked if there was a policy to claim a refund. They asked me to email details to
[email protected] which I have done today.
Thank you

Airlines are pretty good in these type of situations usually, although I would have thought you would have just claimed on your travel insurance?

They don't generally offer full refunds but will permit travel to be delayed.
If they do refund then generally it would only be the fees and taxes with your travel insurance covering the rest.
