Hi all

What are the Miami airport immigration delays like at the moment ?

Does the immigration have APC kiosks to speed up entry, I have been to Orlando the last 3 years so could use the kiosks if there.

I have previously had 2 very bad immigration hold ups due to no fault of my own, which were sorted out after over 3 hour grillings

Yes MIA does have kiosks, but last time I was there earlier this year they where just directing all ESTA holders to the manual desks. Even then the wait was only about 40mins.

The list of US airports using the APC kiosks can be found here

The kiosks are located just before you enter the main manual immigration hall at MIA.

There's nothing to stop you using those at any US airport as an ESTA holder.

It was exactly the same as SFO when I arrived the other week. All the staff simply direct everyone to the manual desks. I pushed myself away from the manual lines and headed for the APC kiosks. They did check I have a US immigration stamp in my passport first though.......much, much quicker with a less than 5 minute wait to get your kiosk print out confirmed :-D. 20 mins from leaving the A/C to being outside with my luggage at SFO which was a record for me!!

I arrived ar MIA at the end of May, and immigration was easy - they do have the machines. But the final check after baggage claim was a nightmare... Absolute chaos and a huge snake around the baggage area...
