Flying Club account number change

I just realised that my FC account number has changed this week as I have made it to Silver.

I recently converted some eRewards points to FC and gave my old account number. Will they make it through to my new account?

[Anyone know why they change your account number and not just the status tied to the account? Seems a bit daft to me, plus my old Red account number wa easier to remember!]

Great!

Yes, all the numbers are internally linked (Red/Silver/Gold). My American Express Membership Rewards program is still linked to my very old Red DC number.

I suppose it's an easy way to see what status FC someone has immediately, as the first number (i.e. 9 for Gold) indicated the tier.

Thanks. I was thinking about all the things that might be linked to my FC account and how to change the card number, but it sounds like I don't need to worry about it now

Interestingly my Red account started with 006 not 9

Sorry, that was my typo (now fixed, above). FC Red starts with 006, Silver with 008, Gold with 009.
