waves from the LHR CH
Posted: 22 Aug 2015, 19:21off to DXB for a few days on business, hoping for a day by the pool but the heat looks a bit fierce at the moment so i may not manage it, long ago it was my endurance under the midday sun that got me my nickname, but the years are telling now!
enjoyed the theatre of my first DTCI, then went through mrs sungod's shopping list in the dior cosmetics bit, now ensconced in the CH gallery
i'd planned to get my holiday euros for next week at the moneycorp, but it seems they left LHR and now it's travelex, so will wait until i'm at LGW now
it's not very busy, but seems noisy and service slow, i waited ten mins then gave up, visited the deli and then went looking for my first bubbly to avoid withdrawal symptoms
second bubbly has just arrived so normal service seems to have resumed
a mellow feeling is developing, now settling in for a couple of hours relaxed tippling and a CH burger before the flight
