Hi, I have been looking for some miles only seats to destinations other than mco and las vegas, and when I search there seems to be no availability. am I doing something wrong? or is it that there is no availability from man?
Miles only seats are only available on certain routes and it seems I can fly to canada or hong kong or india but I just don't seem to find any flights on dummy bookings.

is it possible? is there much success on these routes?

Can you give a few more specifics? How many seats are you searching for? Which cabin? Dates?

There are loads of miles seats on loads of routes, but you mention MAN and the only direct VS flights ex MAN go to MCO/LAS/BGI so if you are searching ex MAN that could be an issue. Also looking for lots of seats in say UC for dates in the not to distant future is always going to be difficult.

They definitely exist, we have just booked 4 x UC miles seats in to MIA home from ATL for next year, we also booked 4 this year in to MCO and back from BGI, so it's not impossible.

Unfortunately no-one can tell you when reward seats will be released, you need to check frequently and be flexible with your dates and see what comes up. There is no way to determine what seats will be one available as its down to VS to decide. What routes are you looking at specifically, and are you looking for Y, PE, or UC?

I've been searching for UC rewards to SFO next May for a few weeks and nothing has come up, so I've opted for an ex-DUB which currently is pricing the same as it would cost me to buy an economy and upgrade with miles (rather than a full miles only reward), to ensure I get the flights I want at a price I'm happy to pay. It means the 250,000 miles we have are there for later use although I wanted to burn some with this trip. It just wasn't happening. Knowing my luck reward seats in UC will open up next week! But you can only search for so long.

looking for school holidays next year or the year after, just checking to see what pops up and what doesn't at the moment. we are a family of 4 now 3 adults and 1 child. we have been to florida for a while now and want to do something different but utilizing my miles

Well it's not impossible, but school holidays is prime time for revenue fares so it won't be easy.
