V-Flyer

I am almost certain this query has come up before, but despite several searches I can't find the relevant post. So, apologies for the duplicate question.

I'm Au and my OH is Ag. We're flying to and from JFK next month on VS, and for the first time we'll be landing on time to visit Revivals afterwards. My OH currently has 35 TP, and after our outbound trip in PE he'll be at 38. By the time we return, he'll have 41 TP and will technically be Au, but the points probably won't clear immediately. Is there any way we'll be able to get access to him for Revivals? I'm sure I saw a post with someone mentioning they called VS CS as soon as they got off the plane and successfully asked for the points to be credited immediately, but I wondered if that's the norm, or if we ought to forget the idea and head over to T2 to use the Plaza Premium lounge.

If you log in to your flying club account as you get off the plane you should be able to fill in the claim missing miles form for the points to be credited instantly.
Or just explain to revivals that you should have just hit gold.

Chris, that's great, thanks. I had no idea that if you did it on your account online it would credit so quickly That's very useful to know.

I'm not sure it will credit that quickly spacedog (this is VS IT that we are dealing with after all) but it is worth a try.

The ladies in revivals are brilliant and I am sure that if you explain the situation to them they will happily let your OH into the lounge.

When I first got VS gold, I got it while in Revivals, manually claiming for the flight, and it instantly upgraded my account and membership number. Much better than the BA system, where you have to wait about 3 days for the flight to credit and then another few days for the account to upgrade!!!
