Just arrived at the DAA lounge in Dublin terminal 1, at the official start of our ex-dub west coast road trip! Of course had our positioning flight this morning and have spent the day wandering around Dublin and stopping for a Guinness as well :P

The lounge is fairly basic but it will only make the CH look even better tomorrow! :-P

Ooh super, have a most wonderful trip, keep us updated (when you feel like it), and enjoy all that the clubhouse, flight and US West Coast has to offer.

Seems funny how, around this time last year, many of us were planning our ex-DUB trips and now one by one we're all taking them.

Have fun

Thank you! It's been a long time coming which means that I'd even had time to colour code my itinerary...

Dtci all booked with no issues, and fine to check bag (yep, just the one for us altogether for 2 weeks) in from lhr only. All is going to plan. One more sleep to go (at home as well, which is a nice bonus) :D

Last time I was in that lounge, there was NO wine. At all. Both sides. Complained in the end, and they brought more, but was quite weird. It was as if the locals had guzzled the lot, and then just, didn't bother asking...

When we were in there on Saturday morning, there was plenty of booze available. It wa just too early to start on it before an 08:50 flight. I just made up for it in the Clubhouse. :-D

I found the DAA lounge comfortable enough and peace and quiet away from the hustle of the terminal.

Oh god, I'd NEVER fly on the day of the longhaul flight via Dublin, I'd always overnight in uk just to get my at least three hours in the Clubhouse the next day. Especially the Heathrow one... *shudder*
