For what it's worth the above have just taken place. Virgin Atlantic managed the following;
Best Business Class No4
Best Premium Economy No 1
Best Cabin Staff No 3
Best Frequent Flyer Program No 4
Best Airport Lounge No 2 (after BA Concorde Lounge Heathrow, will let you know. Due to experience it in a couple of weeks).

If it was a school report "could do better " what do you all think?

It really is a question of perception and who's voting. The Middle East and Singapore Airlines have done well as they have raised the bar considerably in their premium cabins and taken them to a whole new level.

With regard to the Airport Lounge category, I'd be interested in your take on the Concorde Room as I was completely underwhelmed by it! :-O

I'll place a hefty wager that a large portion of those voting for CCR had never experienced the LHR Clubhouse.

Edit to add: I'll also happily place a side-wager that most of the people visiting the LHR Clubhouse have never been in the hot tub or on the rooftop terrace.

Can you post a link because I've googled and can't find anything.

There certainly isn't anything on the BA flyer talk board and I'd expect a lot of gloating there if the CCR beat the CH!

"could do better" but compared to who else?

I think this is the link: http://www.businesstraveller.com/awards2015

There seems to be a fairly clear link between number of users and number of votes in most categories. I'm not sure what method they used to calculate the results but it looks a lot like first past the post rather than some sort of weighted average.

I would say that the CCR and Clubhouse are VERY different products (just like Club and UC have very different aims), and they both do what they set out to achieve very well. (as long as the staff are on the ball!)

Personally, they can both be boring after a few visits, but I do prefer the Clubhouse for the cocktails! But then you do get the lovely massage chairs in the Elemis Spa with the CCR...

(posted from the LHR Clubhouse!)

And one is available to First Class passengers only. And not if they are flying out of T3.
