Book legs seperate or wait for return realise ?

Hi guys ..

The outbound dates for my trip next year have been realised for a little while and are showing reward availability ... The inbound flight is due to be realised. Tomorrow and from what I've seen reward seats should hopefully be available in a weeks time ... So...
Am I better waiting for these to be realised next week and book all together or just book them seperate ?
We do have flexibility as we arnt taking the kids with us ;-)

Thanks a million again ...

Hi

I've always grabbed tickets whenever each leg becomes available. I've done this at least 10 times, and never been disappointed
But of course, it could always go wrong that you get the outward, and can't get a leg home - but I think it unlikely, particularly if you've the flexibility of a day either way

As Peter has said grab em while you see them, or get FC to hold them for you, at least you can do that I had to book my outward before the return were released on BA recently. They would not hold them but luckily got what I wanted a week later, if I had waited there would have been nothing available. Linda

I know with BA, you can book the first sector, then when the second becomes available, phone up and add it to the booking, so its on one booking then.

Thats what I did Hamster and they didn't charge me any extra for phoning up, (Well not at the moment). It was touch and go as the Club seats had gone by the time the call centre opened and all they had left was First (shame). :-D

I didn't realise that you could do this, Hamster. Is there a special number to call to do this, please ?

I wasn't aware you could book separately either.
I've always waited for my return dates to be released, which in my case is a month after the outbound.
How does one go about separate booking?

I can book outbound flights either reward or upgrades using miles and the return flight is showing as a z code £767 ?
what would you do ?
at work at the min so would prob not be able to book until tonight (if seats still available ?)
