V-Flyer

Well once again V-Flyer, your insightful advice on this forum has got me my next set of Upper Class flights.

Me and the best mate are off to Boston next September for his 29th and my 31st Birthday! I've managed to get us G's on the outward to Boston for a three day trip around Cape Cod and Boston. He's then flying back in Economy (I'm not THAT generous when it comes to shelling out my miles!).

I on the other hand, have yet to book a return flight. I'm down to 19k of miles left after spending 80k on the outward flights and then 17500 for his return. I can do a miles Booster on my LA flights from last year which will take me up to the required 40k for an Upper return not that I know where I am returning from, DTW, ORD and NYC are the strongest contenders at the moment although I really wanna go back to SFO, so I am going to hang fire till after Christmas and see what the crack is! I am looking at spending another probably 4-5 days in the US.

One thing does scare me is that VS are going to massively reform FC into a more Delta based system before I get that return booked so I shall not be waiting too long!

Thanks Bretty! I've had to do a bit of arm twisting to get him to agree to come down from Leeds the previous night so we can get in the CH for about 6 for our 13:05 Departure! All about the amount of time in the CH!!

Aircraft is currently showing as a 340, hoping that stays the same or goes to a 787 (dream on I think!) rather than the 330!!

Congratulations on bagging the tickets - I won't comment on Yorkshire mates who are looking gift horses in the mouth & actually needing persuasion to go to the CH with you early (other than to say he'll obviously be delighted with all the freebies in the CH )

Oh yes, you've absolutely got to, he needs to have the whole experience. Plus starting your holiday the day before is great fun.

You never know though, the metal might change, there's a lot of time yet. We should've had a 346 out to JFK next month and a 330 back. I love the newness (ish) of the 330's but am not a fan of the seat either. I wouldn't go out of my way to avoid it though. Anyway, we've now got 346's both legs so I'm a happy bunny. Fingers crossed I should have 789's on both legs for the next SFO trip.

If you are on the 6A at Yarmouth then visit Jacks Outback for a meal.
Great food and good atmosphere, but be warned you may get picked on in a very friendly way if you are not a local.

Great news Col. You will have a great trip I am sure. We visited last year and loved it.

Three days for both Boston and Cape Cod may be a tad tight though, but hey, who needs sleep?

I recommend getting a Water taxi from BOS across the water to the city. Ther can't be a better way (or quicker) to arrive in Boston.

Try and get some time to see Cambridge whilst in Boston too.
