Well my jaunt to Barbados and Antigua is over :-( and just waiting for VKSS to land. The lounge is in the recently built new departures building and has a nice stocked bar and lovely selection of hot and cold appetisers.

I am sad to leave but I am sure it will not be long before the credit card is back out and back to this wonderful island. :-D

Waving from Cornwall .....last time we were in Antigua, last summer, the airport was tantalisingly finished (a la Caribbean)......off to Gatwick on Monday for some Bajan sunshine. Safe flight, look forward to a comprehensive TR!

Looks like your flight left on time so bump-free flying and happy landings.

Did the reverse some 10+ years ago (Antigua first then the little Liat hopper to Barbados for the second week). Enjoyed Barbados enough for a few repeat visits since but have enjoyed Antigua more so dropped in there a bit more often (but been a few years now as got addicted to St Lucia and Grenada a bit so haven't seen the new departures building there) .... just love Jolly Beach to stay in for the swimming and the whole friendliness of the beautiful island for wandering.

Christmas in the Carib? Best of luck with the booking - I'm sure there's a few more of us within V-Flyer will be thinking could we just manage to do likewise in the weather you're about to land back to in a few hours!

Where did you stay in Barbados and would you recommend it?

Hi Tim we stayed at the Hilton on Needams point

I would recommend it but at the right price , we managed to get the room for $165 a night so very reasonable and that's was a executive room.

:-D

Turtle Beach in Barbados. We are straying from the norm this time though (for a change of scene) and going to Sugar Cane.
