Hi all,
Flying to LV shortly and have selected exit row downstairs in Economy for outbound as the bubble ones had gone. I'm next to the window but have options available to change at the moment but from memory I think exit door slide bulge (sorry for description) encroaches into the leg room space but can't remember how much, can anyone help please ?

Just not sure if it would be a problem for me (5ft10) or should I change to an aisle seat instead.

Thanks for listening and would value any advice

from memory it's at least a leg's width, if you're next to your partner ok, if it's a stranger maybe not, i'm taller and would avoid this seat

other things to bear in mind for the exit row seats...

table etc. is in the arm rest, so you lose a bit of width and it's not as convenient, if you're next to partner in a normal seat you can flip up the arm rest for a bit more space, not an option in the exit row

no seat pocket to stow bottle, book etc.

other pax tend to use the area to stand around and stretch legs or wait for toilets if you're in the overwing exit row, in the other rows you're next to a galley, and maybe bassinets

a few years back we had the aisle/middle exit row seats, it got a bit tedious with people kicking/stepping on me, grrrrr

but overall it's luck of the draw

seatguru is worth a check...

the other option to look at is the extra legroom seats, but there're aren't many to be had

Personally I find the slide casing bothersome. I am 6'5" but even someone considerably shorter would have an issue I think as you can't stretch your legs straight out - only at an angle. So personally I'd avoid.

As others have said you get less seat width in the exit rows which is also annoying. If, however, you go for 25A-C you'll be first in Y to be served meals & drinks and you'll be literally first off the plane on arrival.
