Cheap one way fares?

I'd like to redeem miles on my next trip but there are no reward seats available on my outbound flight; only on the return.

Does anyone have any tips on getting a good price on a one-way fare? Is it ever possible to get a decent EX-EU on a one-way?

Have a look at CombiFares, one way redemption, one way paid. Only thing is you can't be in Upper for the paid half, unless you book an upgradable Y or PE ticket and use miles later if reward becomes available.

I don't think so, one way fares are always in flexible fare buckets.

You can ring VS and do a Combi-Fare and they can marry a miles booking in one way with a "return" sector as cash.

The words 'cheap' and 'one-way' will never co-exist in the same sentence.

One-ways price into the higher fare buckets though that does give you flexibility re changes.

One way to get a cheap one -way is to buy a cheap return and them just not fly the return portion.
