Miles oneway Revenue back

Hi

Is it possible to book a return ticket using miles oneway and a revenue ticket the other.

I understand you could book as two single flights but the cost of a oneway fare can be the same as a as a return fare.

I'm sure I've read this somewhere on the forum but can't seem to find it.

Thanks

Virgin call them Combi fares - full details here - http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/gb/en/fl ... fares.html

It's also worth considering whether buying the cheapest possible upgradable economy and upgrading that would be a better option. You can't pair an Upper reward with an Upper revenue fare as part of a combi fare :( The economy + upgrade would also earn you miles and Tier points.
