Best city to visit: BOS or ATL?

Hi,

After much hard work / spending money at Tesco I've managed to get enough Flying Club miles to head to the east coast! Recently I've been in a real quandary of where to go, can anyone suggest which would be the best between Atlanta and Boston?

Thanks!

Welcome to V-Flyer.

I am a a big fan of Boston, but to answer your question properly we would need more information.

For example -
When are you looking to travel?
What is the make up of your party?
How long do you want to go for?
What sort of things do you want to do while you are in the US?
Do you just want a city break or ar you looking to go further afield?

The more specific you are about your hopes for the trip, the better the advice you will receive.

Nick

Boston for a few days then drive around the rest of New England- it is beautiful.

I have never been to Atlanta, so I am clearly biased :)

The issue you will have is if there is reward availability to either destination on the dates and in the cabin you want to fly.

I'd aim for Boston, I haven't heard amazing things about Atlanta...

If reward availability is limited, you can always look at the price of some internal flights to get to somewhere you'd prefer.

Boston for sure - so much to see and do.

ATL is a transit city and not much going on especially in downtown.. 24 hours would be enough in my view.

Another vote for Boston. To my knowledge, people don't really go to Atlanta unless they're getting an onward flight elsewhere :)

+1 for Boston and a drive Up into New Hampshire. We spent a week there in the summer and had a fantastic time.

Boston has something for everyone.
What a fantastic place it must be to live.
Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics & Burins for the sports fans
rich history
Easy to get around & then the surrounding areas like cape cod & the Ski Resorts.

Another vote for Boston, so much to see & do. If you have more time then drive down to Cape Cod or up to any where on the East Coast.

Only visited each of these cities once, Boston would certainly get my vote.

Ditto.

Although if you love TV news or fizzy drinks the CNN and Coca Cola tours in Atlanta are both entertaining (if very corporate). And there's some great Southern cooking to be had. But you don't need more than a day to "do" Atlanta.
