I noticed this dream liner was going to be delivered in January but it looks as if it's been put back untill March, as It looks if it's back on production line at position 5, did it have some kind of problem ??

Looks like delivery has been brought forward to 24th February now... although I'd take that date with a pinch of salt given the number of times it's changed!

As for why - I'm all ears if anyone has anything

As far as i can see, only g-vdia has had an abnormal delay, this appears to be the issue:-

Virgin 787-9 hit by engine fire during ground test
To follow up something I mentioned in my last post regarding ZB036 (LN 377, G-VDIA) a 787-9 that was supposed to be delivered to Virgin Atlantic last month.

For the past few weeks it had been inside building 88-30 undergoing repairs to the wing in an area near the engine.

Apparently the wing was damaged by an engine fire while the engine was running during a test on the flightline at Charleston. I don't have details about what started the fire, the extent of the damage or any NTSB/FAA investigation, if any.

It is unknown when the aircraft will complete repairs and delivered to Virgin.

Well if you went into a car dealership to pick up a new Bentley Arnage What would you say if they told you

"your car had a slight mishap on the production line and suffered fire damage, but it's OK we have repaired it"

Reply
1. that's alright then ?
2. Stick it up your jacksy
3. How much discount are you going to give me ?

I suggest the answer is 3 and quite substantial

More likely from RR if it was shown to be an engine problem that started the fire. We should know in about 2 years once the NTSB get done with their report!
