V-Flyer

Just thought I would share my excitement with you as managed to book my first flight using miles, I have booked return p/ec london-las for Xmas time.Was 98,000 miles and about £680 total for both of us,does that sound a good deal?
As my first use of miles and doing this as a supprise for hubby I am quite pleased as wouldn't of been able to buy tickets outright.So a bit Thankyou to all the friendly people on this forum that have helped with questions in the past.

You won't get a better deal than booking during a reward flight sale, outside those times the flight would have been 30% more miles.

I make the taxes for 2 in PE to be £744 so if you were charged less than that then you got a VERY good deal.

Just realised Stuart that you put La , it's Las Vegas I'm going to so that's probably why the cost came out more when you looked.

Reminds me of the time I misread a theatre ticket website and took Mrs _f for a fabulous night out in London. Only on our way to the restaurant did I discover the tickets I had were for the night before. Took me a while to live that down.

Easily done, especially in my world!!I'm sure Mrs f enjoyed the meal and it's the thought that counts!

My worst misread was at Edinburgh waiting for a Virgin Red flight when I'd read the landing time at Heathrow as my boarding time. Fortunately I discovered my error in time to make it to the gate with 2 minutes to spare.
