The jacuzzi...

OK - so I admit every time I've been in the CH i've been afraid to try it out.

Would anyone care to impart their verdict on said pre-flight soak, and how it all works; i.e. do you book it for a certain time, do you have to share with *gulp* 'strangers', where do you leave your stuff, etc. etc...

Enjoy it while it lasts!

I think that is one area that will be changed in the upcoming refurb. Its a decent size space and is rarely used.

I've only ever used it once and it's great :)

I don't think there's any schedule for it so it's basically a free for all along with the sauna.

There are private changing / shower rooms where you can change before and after. There's also a spinner to get your swimwear almost dry once you get out too. Do take an empty plastic bag with you to put your semi-dry swimwear in afterwards too keep your other things dry in your hand-luggage.

See now you have got me wanting to use it again when I'm next there in May!!

A spinner! Fancy that! I did wonder what would happen with the wet swimwear.

Maybe I will be brave and try it then. If it's free for all i'll see what it's like before I get in, unless you have to change first before getting to it - that would be super awks!

Are they the same showers as the regular ones? Which brings me to another question - are they free for all too or do you have to book them? Are there any soaps/shampoos provided? Would I need a towel? So many questions!

You use the same showers as everyone else uses to get changed to use the sauna/jacuzzi. Yes, towels, shampoo etc. obviously all included. No need to book from my experience, just check-in at the spa reception desk and they'll let you know if one is free. Also, no need to bring a plastic bag for the wet swim suit; there are bags provided above the drier.

Thanks for the info oceanscape!

I think I may overcome my reservations about it and give it a go. Actually considering buying some cheap Primarni trunks to chuck in the bin afterwards though so I don't have a slightly damp pair festering in my bag for 12 hours... :p

Just done be too noisy :-D
When we were last in the CH, my partner got his spa treatment proactively refunded by the CH manager due to a group of people being very noisy in the hot tub, they also got moved away.
