Following from the change to upgrade classes if fares, there is talk on other forums, that you can now book your package holiday with Virgin a holidays, then up.grade your cabin class with FC miles?

If so, this is a major change in the rules, as always before you could not do any upgrade with FC miles.....

Edit: I'm beginning to wonder if something has changed...

The Terms and conditions used to say:
4.4.4 Upgrades are not valid on flights booked through Virgin Holidays

now it says:
4.4.4 To upgrade bookings made via a travel agent with Flying Club miles, contact your local Flying Club Helpline.

From http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/gb/en/flying-club/flying-club-terms-conditions/spending-miles.html

Does anyone know when that changed?

A quick scan of the wayback machine http://web.archive.org/web/201505010000 ... miles.html

Shows that the clause that talked about Virgin Holidays was removed around 5 Feb 15 and replaced with one that talked about discounted fares not being eligible. So it's not as exciting a change as I had thought. Perhaps VS have decided to take a softer line on it now?
