V-Flyer

Hi All,

Quick question for the congregation - upgraded to UC yesterday, change outbound flight from VS003 to VS045 (more time in the Clubhouse !!)

Was surprised to see that the plane is listed as a 744 (seat-map and all) As I understand it all the Virgin 747 Heathrow fleet are now replaced by the A340-600's (and the occasional a330-300 .... ) Or the occasional 789 Dreamliner.

Quick check on FlightAware website shows no 744's for that route over the last 20 days ....

So - what's the likely outcome - plane swap on the day/day before ?

Status shows G-VROC heading back to LHR from MAN on 10/03 so you may be so so lucky!!

Oh I do hope so - 1st plane I ever flew on was a 747 (Pan AM LHR to Miami ....)

Hi, I love the 747. Hope you get one! I had a result last May when I flew to Barbados on an A330 and that was the plane scheduled for the return flight. Imagine my delight when I did online check in the night before only to find I was on a 747. Obviously the load was pretty light and there were masses of spare seats (economy), so I was able to have a row to myself.

Love the 744's still. went on both VLIP and VGAL last month upstairs.

Yes it's scheduled as a 744 so will be G-VROC
