Tesco Clubcard to Virgin Atlantic FC miles - how flexible?

Hello everyone from a new member!
We've been collecting FC miles with the Virgin Amex / Visa duo on & off for a couple of years and are well on the way to a family redemption to the Caribbean (all being well) for Easter 2017.

I'm keen to convert our saved Tesco Clubcard points to Virgin Atlantic FC miles during the current boost but it would suit me to convert both mine and my OH's points to her new FC account if that's possible.

Does anyone know if this works?
ie does Tesco allow you to transfer points to someone else's account or do the names / addresses need to match?

Thanks for any help!
Paul

From the VS t&c

Please note: Only valid Clubcard vouchers (printed with the name of the Clubcard holder) making the booking, and that matches with name showing on the Clubcard Statement mailings and entitled 'voucher') can be exchanged into Flying Club miles. Bookings can only be made by the Clubcard member. Vouchers may be pooled but only by members with accounts registered with Clubcard at the same postal address. Vouchers must be in date and not sold, damaged, defaced, copied, altered or redeemed.

The comment about pooling suggests that yes you can do as you suggest. Never done it myself, but others may have.

At the risk of teaching granny to suck eggs remember that being able to use the miles depends on VS making reward seats available at a peak holiday time...

I have done this and to BA but as my OH is a supplementary holder on the club card account and he has his own account. We obviously both live at the same address, you could always give Tesco a ring they are very helpful.

Thanks pjh, I know, that's why I'm desperate to get all ducks in a row well before the flights are open for booking, especially with the bonus at the moment. I realise I've little chance, but that's better than no chance and I believe in "In it to win it" (apart from with National Lottery these days ;-)

Mallin thanks too, I rang to see whether they'd convert our points to vouchers early, before the end of April cut off, but sadly they said that couldn't be done.

Anyone have experience of this? I know people have mentioned it in HfP previously.

Hi
I have used my clubcard account to top up the kids and BF FC accounts on a few occasions ... My dad has also topped mine up with his CC points ... It never even crossed my mind that it would be a problem ☺️

Tesco will merge clubcard accounts.

I regularly convert across 4 flying accounts, you just do it in separate transactions and fill in the FC number as you go. If you are set to auto-tip you will need to remove that first.
