Only an hour and a bit in the CH? I don't think so!

Called the UC line earlier to book a CDC to LHR (using my miles as I'm on a G). Gave my booking ref and address etc and almost fell of the sofa and dropped my phone when the young lady suggested that the car collect me at 1.30!

1.30?? what sort of time is 1.30??

Given it takes according to those lovely people at the AA about 1 1/2 to drive from Brighton to LHR that would mean a 3pm arrival so just an hour and a bit in the CH before they call boarding for the BOS flight.

Well that certainly wasn't going to happen was it??? Hardly enough time to drink one vesper (let alone two or three) and try a bramble or have a facial let alone have something to eat.

She rapidly booked the car for noon. Tonty is much relieved.

i've had the same experience, i suppose there may be someone out there who doesn't like spending time in the CH, but that's no reason to tar the rest of us with the brush of insanity

I'd be more worried about not getting to LHR on time for my flight!!!! The M25 can be a nightmare!

Ooh how very dare she? When we flew to BOS 18 months ago and booked CDC, the agent "accidentally" booked a pickup from Radisson T3 at 11:00 and we were in the clubhouse by 11:15. Had s lovely day!
