Anyone know the answer to this question?

Hey all,

Quick question about an Ex-EU flight my wife and I are taking with our 15 month old boy next week. We're flying to Dublin on Friday to spend the day/night there before starting our journey to LA on Saturday morning. However, we were thinking it might be quite nice to be able to do Dublin without little man, and get family to bring him to LHR to meet us for the VS flight.

My question is, I'm aware that if either my wife or myself didn't turn up for the BA DUB-LHR leg the rest of our ticket would automatically be cancelled, but if our lap infant didn't check-in for that flight, would they still let him on to the VS LHR-LAX (And then home again obviously!).

If anyone knows the answer I would be very grateful :-)

P.S. Happy Easter!!

I would guess the infant would still need to be checked in as he would be on the flight manifesto

Little chap would still need to be checked in and travel - even though he won't have a seat he will still have a ticket (and passport and ESTA) and need to be checked in just like you and your missus.

He needs to show up otherwise his part of the trip will be cancelled.

I had a feeling that might be the case, good to know for sure though, would have been a disaster if we'd just tried it!

Thanks for the replies :-)
