Looking at the new Delta flights to JFK from Edinburgh
VS4027 outbound VS4026 inbound.
Does anyone know if you get tier points / miles on these.
Its typical that when you want a pop-up asking you if you need any help you never get one, but at all other times they seem to appear when you don't.
thanks
David

so, to answer my own question - a popup eventually appeared and I was told you definitely do ( even though its not stated on the site ) and a link was posted
http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/gb/en/fl ... lines.htmlTime to try Delta One I think.

You earn miles & TPs on all Delta flights, whether booked as a VS codeshare or not.

Thanks, I just found it weird that there was no mention anywhere on the VS page with the prices about tier points etc.
Now next question, how long do I need to allow to connect to a Delta flight down to Orlando after arriving into JFK at approx. 15.45
Is there a terminal change ?
thanks

Possibly, yes.
Your flight from EDI will arrive at T4 (the one VS uses) but some DL domestic flights leave from T2.
Regardless, you'll have to clear immigration & customs and reclaim your luggage at T4, even if it's checked all the way through, then recheck it, go landside and clear security at whichever terminal your MCO flight goes from.
All of which could take half an hour or could take 2 hours depending on the queues. So I'd err on the side of caution and allow at least 3 hours. Unfortunately JFK is pretty lousy for connections, unlike ATL.

Thanks gumshoe.
So next question - if booking a Delta flight on the VS web site on flights with a VS flight number, and flying in Delta One EDI - JFK, JFK - EDI. Do I get access to the JFK Clubhouse on the return or is the Delta lounge ?
too many questions ....

I'm pretty sure you can use either. Clearly the VS Clubhouse is considerably nicer.
