We have just returned from Atlanta and myself and hubby flew upper class while the kids (teenagers) were happy enough in premium. We went to use the Delta lounge but they wouldn't let my kids in and charged us $59 each. They told us that we couldn't guest anyone in as they don't allow this in the USA. Does anyone else know if this is correct.? I wish we hadn't paid as I wasn't very impressed with the lounge.

Which lounge did you use? If it was the Skyclub in terminal F (where VS departs from) then I am very surprised. The staff there know that VS UC and AU's are free to enter. I've used it a few times and while it's no Clubhouse, I've found it to be quite pleasant with decent food and drinks and some good views. What did you kids do by the way?

Yes, I was going to say that we'very used that lounge twice; both times flying in PE but we're VS AU. There has never been an issue and we certainly didn't have to pay! As long as you have a transatlantic sector within your itinerary that day you get use of the lounge. However, as far as I know, you can't guest anyone into the Delta lounges, only VS Clubhouses, so it makes sense they wouldn't let your kids in (I'm assuming they're older as they were able to entertain themselves in the meantime!)
