Thanks David. Could be worth asking at the airport to see if we can upgrade our PE reward tickets to UC by the looks of it. Not sure if you can do that with the credit card PE upgrades though.....anyone know if they allow it on the day if there are seats?

I've done it, but had to give up the voucher (though it was re-credited back to my account) and upgrade direct from Economy to UC as you're not technically allowed to use miles to upgrade further if you've already used a voucher.

I say technically because you may get lucky and get an agent who doesn't know the rules, which isn't unheard of.

I'm not holding my breath as I don't have enough miles for an EC to UC upgrade (used them all last year for an UC reward flight). Not the end of the world, we've got UC on the way back which is the overnight flight. (We split the PE upgrade voucher for both of us to travel PE outbound and then got a UC reward each for the return)
