Booked LAS ex. DUB via Expedia, need online check-in advice

I'm heading to Vegas next week with the wife and am a bit concerned about seat allocation, particularly given that I have booked via Expedia and am flying out of Dublin to Gatwick.

Basically I'm looking for advice on the best way to check-in to ensure we are seated together (preferably at a window pair of seats). I have booked Premium Economy on both LGW to LAS and LAS to LGW.

I have taken a look at the "manage my booking" option on both the Aer Lingus website and the Virgin website, but I don't think I can check-in for both outbound legs together on either site (certainly can't on the Aer Lingus site). So, if I do online check-in separately on both sites, will I still have baggage interlined through?

The Virgin website won't allow me to choose seats at the moment, so I will have to wait until check-in. What's the best/earliest time to do this, to ensure I get to pick some decent seats?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, yes you will need to do OLCI for the VS & EI legs separately. For VS it opens exactly 24 hours before departure at which point you should be able to select seats. Be aware, however, that the choice will be limited to whatever hasn't been chosen by other passengers since the flight went on sale 11 months ago. You'll have some choice but it won't be the run of the cabin so the sooner you can do OLCI the better.

Your baggage will still be interlined: when you check your luggage in at DUB just make sure the agent tags it all the way through to LAS.

We recently did the trip and checked in for our DUB flight at the airport in Dublin the night before on the aer lingus site.
We then checked in on the virgin site for the LGW flight, and when we got to DUB they gave us our boarding card for it and automatically checked bags through.
The only pain was the drop off at Gatwick took us to an arrivals area that meant we had to go back through security at Gatwick >-(

Aer Lingus standard OLCI opens 30 hours before departure for European routes.

They do also operate a 30 day 'Extended' check-in system now on many routes now within Europe (no idea if it's on the DUB>LGW route though sorry, I've done this before on the MAN>DUB route)

Thanks for the replies. Am reassured, all sounds straightforward enough.
